What ServeShift is not
ServeShift is not a cash register and not invoicing software. The guest printout is an informational consumption summary, marked “not a tax document” at the top and the bottom. Keep recording sales in the till or invoicing system your country requires.

Questions
What happens when the internet goes down?
Nothing changes at the tables. The counter computer runs the whole service locally, phones connect to it over your Wi-Fi, and backups and sync catch up when the connection returns.
Which hardware do I need?
A Mac or Windows computer at the counter. Phones are optional (iPhone or Android). For tickets, any ESC/POS network thermal printer or a printer the computer already knows.
Does it replace my cash register?
No. ServeShift runs the floor, the orders and the payments, and prints an informational summary for guests. Legally required receipts and invoices still come from your till or invoicing software.
Can my staff use it in their own language?
Yes. Each person picks their language on the counter or on their phone; guests see the menu in the languages you offer.
Can I bring my existing menu?
Yes. Import an Excel or CSV file with names, prices, categories, allergens and translations. Column names are recognised in every supported language.
How do I cancel?
Cancel any time from the Subscription page; the paid period runs to its end. Your data stays on your computer and you can export or back it up.
